ANES Bibliographies

The ANES Bibliography

The ANES Bibliography is a work in progress. It currently includes over 9,400 citations that make use of ANES data or questions. The Bibliography is offered as a research and teaching resource that should be useful for many different purposes. Given the importance of ANES data in the fields of electoral politics, public opinion, and political participation, the Bibliography should be an excellent resource for researchers, teachers, students, and other professionals interested in research in those areas. It is not, of course, a comprehensive bibliography in those fields because only research relying at least in part on ANES data is included.

Documents Written By Or Commissioned By ANES

The papers in this group represent works requested or commissioned by ANES leadership. There is no set schedule for when these papers or reports are requested. ANES Leadership determines when specific research might be useful to the study.

  • CONFERENCE PAPERS: Papers and presentations from many past ANES-sponsored conferences. Also, papers that ANES representatives presented at other conferences.
  • TECHNICAL REPORTS: ANES technical reports were commissioned ad hoc to examine various methodological issues related to the ANES surveys.
  • Board Reports and Project Memos
  • Pilot Study Reports: ANES Pilot Studies are designed to test new methods and substantive instrumentation. The experiments provide suggestions for future improvements to the ANES time series studies.
